Hauptaufgaben:
This position as a senior Project Manager within the GPS Project Management Office entails the following key responsibilities:
• Accountable for the delivery of the GPS/R&D Instrument Development Project in terms of budget, timeline, scope and quality
• Project Leadership – Cross department leader of the project, instills sense of urgency with a strong can-do attitude in project core team, drives team debate around key issues and risks while keeping the big pictures and long term targets in mind.
• Project Planning – Creates and maintains top level development plan according to planning process, aligns development activities in accordance with cross-functional dependencies and project risks, always managing the critical path
• Project Controlling & Reporting – Continuously monitors and reports fact based project progress, cost and quality vs. planning baseline, maintains project status presentation
• Project Risk Management & Scenarios – Continuously assesses, manages and adequately reports project risks. Plans, negotiates and monitors contingency against the project risks and actively creates scenario planning for major project risks on critical path.
• Stakeholder Management – Active involvement, alignment and expectation management with stakeholders, maintains stakeholder map and communication plan, represents GPS in Life Cycle Project Team
Qualifications required:
• Bachelor or master degree in corresponding discipline or similar scientific subject; or a comparable academic background and/or experience
• At least 5 years’ experience working as Project Lead or Project Manager within complex /multisite projects
• Experience - Proven leadership skills in managing complex projects with multidisciplinary teams in a global matrix environment as Project Manager or Project Lead
• Export knowledge in project planning, scheduling and controlling
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent English skills
• German as a plus
• Certification as Project Manager
