For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced:
Linux UNIX Software Integration Engineer (2541)
The key responsibilities of the role are to:
- integrate the vendor based product seamlessly into our clients rather complex IT infrastructure
- implement automation capabilities to support automated installations and upgrades
- work with an agile team of senior software engineers
- translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into IT specifications and architectural designs
- manage the solution hardware inventory
- work closely with IT architects and other IT development teams within the organisation to design solid application interfaces
- coordinate the software development and testing with external vendors, acting as a key contact for any questions or issues which may arise
- quality check the vendor deliverables, including test case creation, test case review, design review, code review, test execution etc.
- support the Quality Assurance/Test cycles
Your qualifications:
- A successful track record of vendor based software integration projects
- Several years Linux Systems Administration
- Knowledge in RPM Packaging//RPM Package Manager (RPM) (originally Red Hat Package Manager)
- Proven expert knowledge of automating distributed installations using industry standard tools
- Proven expert knowledge of key enterprise integration requirements (security, automation, segregation of duties, monitoring )
- Experience in technical vendor management (issue handling, collaborative solution elaboration, patch/test cycles handling)
- Thorough understanding of software development, configuration management, source code management, and software release processes
- Experience with Agile development methodology and tools
- Experience with Actimize Software would be a big plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with close attention to detail
- A self-starter who is highly pro-active, committed, reliable and responsive
Nice to have
- Solaris packaging is nice to have and so is SSL, PKI and AD
