Senior MS-SQL Database Administrator
On behalf of our client, a leading global company within finance, we are looking for a Senior MS-SQL Database Administrator. For this contract position based in Zürich in Switzerland our client is looking for an English speaking candidate who can start as soon as possible.
Requirement:
- We are looking for candidates with strong experience in MS SQL Database (min. 5 years) and at least 3-5 years production support experience.
- You will speak fluent English, German is desirable. If you are a team player with a lot of drive, are able to work on multiple tasks and under a lot of pressure - you will be the ideal candidate for our team!
Must have:
- Professional DBA of Microsoft SQL Server
- Work experience in MS SQL ideally within the financial sector
- Good knowledge of Windows operating system and SQL Server Clustering based on Windows Server with of VERITAS clustering and volume manager
- Knowledge of installing and configuring SQL Server- Reporting Services, Integrations Services, Analysis Services.
- Good SQL and basic Scripting language knowledge
- English skills
- Good communication skills
- OnCall readiness
Knowledge which is an advantage:
- Knowledge of Sybase RDBMS/Sybase IQ
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS
- Skills and experience in DB Tuning/Optimization
- SAN/NAS Storage
- Virtualization Skills (VM-Ware)
Nice to have:
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationship
- Experience in writing documentation
- ITIL
- German skills
