JAVA PERL DEVELOPER SCRIPT FAULT MANAGEMENT OSS HP Openview PLUG-INSSQL JMS CAMEL 

Java Developer with OSS Fault and Management Systems background.

My client is looking to recruit a Perl and Java developer in the OSS Team which is responsible for the Fault & Performance Management systems within a telecoms operator.

In this role you will realize demanding monitoring requests based on my clients monitoring environment which is based on HP Openview/NAGIOS and a lot of in-house developed Perl- and Java Plug-Ins.

You will be required to;

  • Specification, Design, Development, Implementation and Documentation of minor development tasks.
  • Creating of new Plug-Ins (The majority is based on Perl.)
  • Development/Adaption of alarm interfaces (Socket IF, JMS, Trap Receiver)
  • Working closely with our Back Office teams, NOC and partners.
  • Incident and change management following ITIL processes.
  • Providing second level support.
  • Upgrade and improvement projects
  • You will require the following skills;

  • 3+ years of Perl and Java
  • Web Services, JMS, ActiveMQ, (Esper, Camel, EJB, JSF would be good)
  • Basic knowledge of fault management (Nagios, HP Openview) a plus
  • Good troubleshooting, failure analysis and documentation skills.
  • Unix, Windows, SQL (Oracle), Scripting (Perl, Shell), TCP/IP, SNMP
  • ITIL knowledge a plus
  • Excellent Communications Skills (German and English)
  • Target oriented, Flexible, Willing to learn, Independent and committed working style
