We are looking for one of our clients in Zürich for a Network Engineer (m/f).Role Overview
• Router Management & configuration
• Provides 3rd level technical support on network related issues.
• Provide active involvement in Meeting related to network change and install.
• Trouble shooting Routing problems and issues.
• WAN Interface, Protocol configuration and WAN Troubleshooting
• Threshold configuration of Critical Devices.
• Prepare Trend Analysis based on link Usage and Hardware Utilization. .
• Handling Escalations to proper teams for problem resolution.
• Implement capacity management processes
• Provide Operations Feedback to the other Delivery organizations on necessary network strategy enhancements.
• Installation and troubleshooting of F5 load balancers.
• Assists engineers with installation of new hardware and software integration into the network including testing and implementation when multiple vendor’s platforms are used.
• Provides or coordinates with outside vendors (as necessary) the installation of Network Devices In the network.
• Improve Service Level Agreements.
• Maintains and monitor network utilization and make necessary changes whenever required.
• Plan and Audit network changes
Technical skills required: (in the order of priority)
• Experience in Cisco Routers, switches and Access points
• Network security tools like Cisco ACS ,
• Strong Network management skills
• Performance monitoring using the Vantage suite /Lucent Vital Suite
• Ability to configure and use MRTG/ What’s up gold
• Experience in using the performance troubleshooting tools like Ethereal, sniffer.
Skills:
• Experience in systems like Cisco, Juniper and F5
• Good understanding and knowledge on ITIL
• Remote monitoring of system alerts / alarms.
• Run the system heath check procedures & observe the results.
Soft skills
• Excellent oral communication, interpersonal skills
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work in a flexible, team-oriented, and constantly changing environment
• Strong written and detail oriented skills
• Strong overall ability to troubleshoot all hardware and software issues
• Self motivated
Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
