For a long-term contract in Zurich we are looking for a
Project Manager (m/f)
Main Purpose
The Project Manager Risk & Analytical Systems manages projects in the Pricing, Reserving and Risk Management domain of the client segment.
Key activities
initiate, plan, execute and close projects following the project framework guidance and accepted project management best practice
develop the business case and initial project estimates
define the project's scope and deliverables; articulate project milestones
coordinate execution and manage changes to the scope/deliverables and consequent plan updates
deliver agreed outcomes and close the project
monitor and control project progress using defined and accepted metrics; ensure regular distribution of project status to stakeholders
work with sponsor, business and IT project team members, and other stakeholders to ensure
timely decisions
ownership of deliverables and plans
adequate staffing to achieve project objectives
Requirements
10+ years of experience as project manager, with accountability for delivery of projects larger than $1m, durations exceeding 1 year and teams larger than 10 people
ideally certified in a project management methodology, such as Prince2, Hermes, PMP
exposure to business analysis techniques such as RUP, BPMN and UML
experience in working with the Actuarial and Risk Management business domain of a Financial Services company, preferably in Property & Casualty Reinsurance
experience in developing software using an Agile software development life cycle, ideally certified as SCRUM Master or other Agile certification
experience in transitioning applications from development to production
strong interpersonal skills, great communicator and team builder; written and oral fluency in English a must, German an additional asset
curious, committed to continuous learning
ability to work under stress, to facilitate resolution of unclear or conflicting goals
expert skills in MS Excel, good grasp of MS Project
exposure to MS VisualStudio, MS Team Foundation Server and MS SharePoint
working knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework and infrastructure
