My client a global Pharma company are looking to recruit a Procurement manager with a proven track record to work within their site in Basel
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and conducting negotiations with vendors and measuring performance of chosen vendors with respect to quality of work, cost and timelines
- Collaboration with key partners and internal teams to ensure successful delivery with continuous improvements and streamlining
- Appropriate business and financial risk evaluation and mitigation whilst meeting business needs
- Supporting clinical teams and functions for all their outsourcing needs, included- but not limited to- negotiating savings, creating contracts of all kinds and delivering trainings
- Evaluate Clinical Development functional or project sourcing specific needs and their impact on the current sourcing strategies, and define how to address these needs
- Contribute to the implementation of the complete procurement strategy in the Clinical Development area
The right person:
- You will be educated to University degree level and have:
- Proven track record of managing the whole process through Request for Proposal (RFP)
You will have been involved in:
- Service provider identification
- Selection
- Bid presentation
- Bid analysis
- Site assessment visits
- Contract development
- Change orders
- You will have the ability to effectively negotiate
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- Ability to influence key outsourcing decisions made by clinical study teams
- Past experience as a clinical development study team member especially in phase is strongly wishes
- Strategic thinker abilities
