For one of our international clients based in Zurich we are urgently seeking a Senior Java Developer;
Tasks:
Analysis, development and testing of our web applications and web services in accordance with users' demands, requirements, architecture principles and high quality standards.
Close co-operation with architects, scrum masters, product owners, business analysts, testers, web designers and other developers in order to ensure the implementation of new web based solutions.
As a senior we expect the contractor to be able to coach and support other team members.
Furthermore, as part of the scrum team the contractor will participate in the sprint planning's and together with other team members do the technical design and estimations ensuring future maintainability, extensions and performance
Knowledge and experience required:
- At least 5 years' developing Web Enterprise Applications in Java with Spring MVC Framework/Hibernate
- Rich UI Development experience
- Strong knowledge in; JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML/XSTL, GXT, GWT, ExtJs (Must be deep knowledge in these areas - Applicants without will not be considered)
- Knowledge about SQL/PLSQL and Database design
- Experience with Oracle Database
- Experience (at least 2 years) in developing automated tests using Selenium and Knowledge of the Cucumber framework are clear advantages
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development process
- RESTFul Web Services (Jersey)
- Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Accurev)
- Unit Test Driven Development
- Cucumber/Selenium Tests
- GoF Design Patterns
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
Language Requirements: Fluent in English

Start Date: ASAP
Duration of contract: 4 months - possible extension
