For our client, a globally active Swiss firm headquartered in Zurich, we are looking to staff a Senior Tool – Build Master
Tasks:
• Design build and delivery chain for fitting software products and related software products
• Automate and unify modular steps of build pipeline and ensure reliability and repeatability in execution
• Develop and maintain release management processes
• Define and integrate artifact management system for build chain and for releases to different stakeholders
• Integrate unit-, integration and system tests in different build stages with other software developers and software developers in test automation
• Define, set up and maintain build infrastructure (build servers build agents) together with IT department.
• Create and maintain build configurations for main path development and branches for product releases and studies
• Ensure reliable and fast builds for commit and acceptance stages
• Develop installation programs for fitting software products and related software products
• Close collaboration and knowledge exchange with software engineers responsible for build pipeline for embedded software, mobile applications and web and enterprise services
Must Haves:
• University degree (B.Sc., M.Sc.)
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, release engineering, and/or configuration management experience in analysis, concept definition and implementation of software structures
• Understanding of best practices in build and release management, continuous integration and test automation
• Understanding of software design methodologies including software and architecture design principles. SOLID,
• Preferably experience with .NET
• Experience in automating release and build processes and build management tools (Teamcity, MSBuild)
• Experience with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems (Subversion, Git, Artifactory, NuGet.
• Experience in one or more scripting languages
• Experience with developing installation programs (Installshield, Windows Installer)
• Experience working as part of a SCRUM team
