We are looking for a long term contract based in Zurich for a Reinsurance Business Analyst

Project Description

The Reinsurance Business Analystperforms business analysis, requirements definition, project management activities for the Reinsurance segment. This role offers an experienced business analyst/project manager an opportunity to deliver projects and business analysis in a dynamic and global environment.

Your responsibility:

  • Collaborate closely with the business stakeholders to understand business needs, processes and data sources.
  • Work with business to translate the business needs into clearly documented detailed requirements and functional specifications.
  • Assess operational impact of technology changes.
  • Lead pre-project activities such as business case creation & project estimating.
  • Execute projects adhering to approved budget & timeline, delivering scope to expectation of the customer.
  • Work with clients and stakeholders to define scope of projects; develop, articulate and ensure project milestones are met; identify and evaluate lessons learned during project, manage completion of deliverables and coordinate dependencies on other projects as necessary.
  • Create, manage and update project plans, risk management plans, communication plans, project budgets and all other project management documentation.
  • Manage vendors to ensure successful project completion.
  • Track project metrics. Communicate frequently with executive leadership to provide project risk analysis, status, and requirements that may impact strategic direction.

    Must have requirements:

  • Reinsurance background is an absolute must criteria
  • Reinsurance industry experience, with a good understanding of the terminology, business functions and processes
  • Worked closely with business process owners and documented business processes and business requirements
  • Specified system requirements and worked closely with a development team
  • Experience in leading software technology projects with durations of 1+ years and valued at 500K+
  • Experience in project management practices, including PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or similar project management methods
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodology and PMP certification preferred

    Should have requirements:

  • Ideally have BPMN experience
  • Ideally have experience with Agile methodologies
  • IBAA certification desirable
  • Solid background in either actuarial, modelling or risk management environments would be a big asset
