Proteus Europe operating as an employment agency, is currently seeking a PCB Design Engineer to solve interesting technical challenges at one of our prestigious clients based in Switzerland.Role: PCB Design Engineer.
Location: Switzerland.
Duration: Permanent.
Start: ASAP
Your main tasks include :
- Create sophisticated designs: PCB (PCB technology options , floorplanning , constraints and footprint entry , part placement and routing , 3D collision check , DFM , DFA , DFT constraints consideration , files for simulation, board fabrication and assembly documentation).
- Support of project teams with expertise and Reviews.
- Intensive cross-disciplinary communication ( within project teams to Electronic Manufacturing Service Partners , including stakeholder management ).
- Responsible for the PCB design tool chain.
- Independent development of small electronic interfaces (eg, communication and user interface with a robust power supply).
Your Profile :
- Electronics BSc / FH ( or equivalent) and proven work experience in PCB design (ideally with Cadence OrCAD / Allegro).
- Experience in complex multi-layer and high Densitiy Interconnect ( HDI) PCB design , including high-speed design (e.g. for high-performance ARM processors , DDR2 interface , USB, etc.).
- Knowledge of EMC and requirements / characteristics of the wireless communication regarding PCB Layout with appropriate component placement and routing.
- Knowledge of PCB ( FPC , FFC, etc. ) PCBA manufacturing processes and manufacturing processes.
- Results-oriented with an desire to take initiative and demonstrate openness when working either independently or in a team, as well as a strong communication ethic and willingness to take responsibility.
- Ideally experienced with pre-and post-layout simulation tools with respect to signal integrity, power integrity , and heat.
Language Requirements:
Written and spoken English and German are a prerequisite for this position.
