part time IT Support Officer
We are looking for an IT Support resource for a part time contract (2 years). The resource would be working 8 hours per day, 2 times a week (not two consecutive days).
Main Tasks
Computer Setup Hardware & Software
First Level Support Hardware & Software
Raise tickets with the help desk
"Local Friendly Hands" for ticket support.
Troubleshoot computer hardware (new HDD, new keyboards, etc).
Administration the PC inventory including company database.
Backup tape handling
Support local image backups
Interface with Dell support
Interface with NXP helpdesk and central IT
Replacing hardware components
Implement improvement activities - tidying network cables, moving Switches.
Support local guest WiFi Router
Creating "How to" guides eg make an local Outlook mail file
Support Roll out projects, typically once per year.
Additional Tasks
Batch Scripting
troubleshooting network. Network patching. Making cables.
Phone support (patch landline, phone management software).
Find and evaluate software for local site use (most SW is provided by NXP, but things are needed locally).
NXP Software license database maintenance.
Application support for in house Application (MS Access & Oracle SQL Server)
Skills
Windows XP and Windows 7
Intel Computer Hardware (DELL)
Microsoft Office
General understanding of TCP/IP Networks
General understanding of Microsoft File and Print Sharing
Ability to seek solutions either from within NXP-IT or from outside sources
Additional Skills
Windows Server 2003 and server hardware (replacing components)
MS Access 2000 (General knowledge, not development skill)
Knowledge of back-up software (NetApp - eg recovery of data)
Others:
Language skills: English & German
Flexible working: Require 2 times 1 day per week, plus additional days on request (to cover infrequent major IT projects).
