For our customer in Zurich, for a 6 months contract, we are looking for a Senior Sybase DBA.
Your responsibilities:
Responsibility for technical management and coordination of issues and projects primarily involving installation, configuration and on-going administration tasks of SQL Server and Sybase databases Active participation in the resolution of system and performance issues Close working relationship with other team members locally and globally to provide understanding across all components of the database environments. DBA support for development teams and involvement in recommendations for new projects Additional function to provide advice and assistance in terms of developing and progressing the infrastructure environments, including the assessment of needs and recommend solutions in an Enterprise IT
Required Skills:
At least three years' experience of Sybase ASE database and Sybase Replication Server administration ideally within the financial sector
Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
Good SQL and basic Scripting language (Perl, Shell) knowledge
Experience with MS SQL Server
Flcy English, preferably also in German
