Consolidation Expert - Multinational group - Geneva

The CLIENT

We are looking for a Senior Consolidator/Expert in Consolidation who will ensure the Consolidation of >100 entities for an international group.

Our client belongs to the large family of the industrial sector and has been through an amazing growth the last past 10 years. This company offers a fast moving and fast pace environment where you will have the chance to develop and to learn within an international team.

The ROLE

You will report to the Head of Budget and Consolidation and your main duties will be:
  • Manage the quarterly versus monthly consolidation process
  • Manage the group reporting of Group's Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet under IFRS standards (for around 100 entities)
  • Preparation of internal quarterly versus monthly Management reports + analysis and commentaries on the results for the period
  • Relationship with external auditors and preparation of audits
  • Maintain, update and communicate Group accounting policies
  • Preparation of reporting instructions and deadlines to local controlling & accounting teams
  • Ensure interco transactions are understood and managed correctly
  • Lead statutory to IFRS GAAP reporting differences and assess the implication for the Group (if needed, ensure completeness of local and management reporting)
  • Ensure consolidation standards and data quality of submissions, in compliance with group requirements.
  • Developing a strong relationship with country controllers/accounting teams and country management to build a strong functional reporting and control framework
  • Improving the existing consolidation and reporting systems and tools
  • AD HOC PROJECTS


The relevant PROFILE
  • Master Degree in Accounting or in Finance
  • Min. 3-5 years of experience in consolidation + ideally a previous Big 4 background (or similar)
  • Strong IFRS/IAS norms knowledge + reporting skills
  • SAP BCS consolidation module user (or similar consolidation tools)
  • Stress resilient, ability to adapt quickly to unforeseen change and work demands
  • Delivery and results minded, problem solver and team player
  • Good communication skills, business oriented and ability to interact with all levels (internal clients, peers, Directors)
  • Very good analytical skills, hands on, ability to respect deadlines, organized and multitasks minded
  • Fluent in English + ideally in French (any other language is a plus)
