As part of the global DBA organization the Oracle database team provides 2nrd and 3rd Level Support for Trading and Sales, Corporate, Retail and Private Banking Applications. Within the operational Database Support Sector we are currently seeking an Oracle DBA to join the team of our customer. Your main tasks will be the administration of the Oracle 10g and 11g databases and the maintenance of multiple Oracle instances. You will upgrade and migrate Oracle databases and be involved in the configuration management and backup recovery. In addition to operational responsibilities you will provide various services to our developers as well as to application platforms within the company. This will include troubleshooting, tuning assistance and query optimization assistance.. We are looking for candidates with strong experience in Oracle Database Administration on Unix and Linux platforms (min. 7 years) and at least 3-5 years production support experience. Ideally we are looking for specialists with previous experience in supporting Oracle and Dataguard setup. You will have operational experience working with Oracle Releases 10g/11g and working experience with tools and utilities such as RMAN and Grid Control. You will speak fluent English, German is desirable. If you are a team player with a lot of drive, are able to work on multiple tasks and under a lot of pressure - you will be the ideal candidate.
Must have:
- Professional DBA skills
- work experience in Oracle 10g/11g
- working experience in Unix/Linux
English skills Knowledge which is an advantage:
- usage and understanding of Grid Control / DB Monitoring
- usage of Dataguard
- usage of Rman ( Restore/Backup)
Skills and experience in DB Tuning/Optimization Nice to have:
- Good communication skills
- ability to build and maintain customer relationship
- experience in writing and maintaing documentation
- german skills
