On behalf of a major Pharma client we are urgently looking for an IT Scientific Application Supporter/Laboratory environment for a 9 months + role in Basel (Switzerland). Start 01.04.2013, end 31.12.2013 (extension option).
Project focus: Support a new IT enterprise solution that manages all the difference phases of in vivo studies, including planning, design, electronic data capture, data analysis and reporting; it will be used in the Pharmacological laboratories of a large Pharmaceutical company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the roll out of the application including communication, documentation and installation support
- Provide user support: answer usage questions, triage user support requests
- Provide user training and deal with scientific end-users
- Contribute to an application deployment that directly affect's a scientists day-to-day job.
Mandatory Skills and Background:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science (preferred)
- Life Sciences or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years practise in software support of scientific applications in Pharma/Laboratory environment
- Experience with connecting lab instruments would be an advantage
- Ability to communicate effectively with scientific clients
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and in German, French skills are a plus
- High learning agility, innovation and problem solving skills
Project details:
- Start: April 1th 2013
- Duration: till December 31st months, maybe extension later
- Work place: Basel, 100% (40 hours per week), no remote or home-work option.
