Senior Windows System Administrator with Pharma Background (Contract)Task
• Configure and administer Windows server infrastructure (e.g., Hardware, Operating Systems) in support of on-going operations and projects within an global Environment.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Execute change management activities.
• Provide technical expertise for the planning and definition of new system requirements: perform feasibility and performance studies, including benchmark, capacity planning, sizing, etc.
• Prepare and present technical product information to user community.
• Support and improve system environment and services (sizing).
• Write all related documentation (Validation docs, systems proposals/recommendation, etc).
• Support and be responsible for defined system administration activities on an allocated/defined system or environment.
• Design configuration and administration in support of on-going projects.
• Support users globally to define operational requirements, troubleshooting and migration to new versions.
• Implementation and post-installation responsibilities include technical consulting to user community and providing solutions to software problems.

• Ensure stable and well performing system environment.
• Apply professional competencies to administrate and optimize the assigned system environment.
• Implement levels of best practice (price / performance etc.).
JOB DIMENSION
• Member of a global team of ~11 Windows system administrators
• Infrastructure deployed on all customer sites globally
• Duration: asap till end of 2013
• Location: onsite in Basel/Switzerland
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• 8 years of experience in Windows and/or Linux system administration in a global enterprise environment
• 5 years of VMWare ESX management experience
• In-depth scripting know-how in PowerShell, batch and VBScript
• Fluent in English
