On behalf of a major Pharma client we are urgently looking for a End-User Supporter in Bio-Pharmaceuticals/Laboratory Environment. It is a challenging 6 months role in Basel (Switzerland), start 18.02.2013, end 31.08.2013.
Project focus: End User support, application testing, managing user settings on the Application Server for scientific applications, take part in an Electronic Lab Notebook rollout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the business analysis for an Electronic Lab Notebook rollout in Biology
- Partner with scientific end-users and current Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) team members to help analyse scientific needs & support the application
- Identify and articulate Use Cases and Use Stories, developing mock-ups and collecting & interpreting data
- End user support, application testing, managing user settings on the Application Server
- Contribute to a large-scale global deployment of a technical solution that directly affect a scientists day-to-day job.
Mandatory Skills and Background:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science (preferred)
- Life Sciences or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years practise in software development & support of scientific applications in Pharma/Laboratory environment
- Very good or even fluent German and English
- Ability to communicate effectively with scientists
- High learning agility, innovation, and problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IDBS E-WorkBook
- Experience in relational database fundamentals & software development life cycle.
Project details:
- Start: February 18th 2013
- Duration: 6 months
- Work place: Basel, 100% (40 hours per week), no remote or home-work option.
