Java Developer
Duration: 6 months
Location: Geneva
Our client is seeking driven Java Developers to join their growing team based in Geneva on a contracted basis for 6 months.
Knowledge/Experience
The ideal Java Developer must be/have:
A degree in a Computing or Mathematical discipline preferred.
Strong/fully proficient hands on development in Java Scripting, Java EE, Web Components and Stored Procedures
Working knowledge of Weblogic/WebSphere Servers Experience in MSSQL - preferably with specific Analysis and Reporting Services would be advantageous
Strong/fully proficient hand on development skills in FIX/Proprietary Order and Execution messaging types
Knowledge of Financial services.
The ideal Java Web Developer must be/have:
Team-working and staff management skills
Experience of implementing and supporting Compliance driven projects
Knowledge and experience of Software Development Life Cycles with strong technological skills
Strong Project Management/Leadership skills and proven delivery of multiple projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization and planning skills
Strong analytical skills as well as knowledge of predictive, statistical, or mathematical modelling, and data mining methods
Experience with OLAP database and reporting/analysis services functionality
Capabilities:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to convey technical functionality to a non-technical audience
Mature, self-starting, self-motivating, and capable of making decisions independently
A team player
