For our customer in Zurich we are looking for an experienced
Platform Manager

Responsibilities

Consult requestors of new server (Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris)

Track running deploy and decom orders

Handle requests for new server and decom of server, including consulting and support of project leaders

Schedule server hardware and build life cycle based on specifications of engineering and requirements of operations

Planning life cycle for Servers with upcoming EOL hardware and/or OS-builds

Capacity management of shared server farms by verifying thresholds, monitoring available capacity and initiate order for required expansion

Single point of contact for international infrastructure, eg Setup, life cycle and close international locations

Requirements

Solid knowhow of server infrastructure and operating systems (Familiar with standard server builds and life cycle process)

Profound MS Office knowledge (especially Excel, Powerpoint)

Basic know-how in unix and windows administration

Platform Management experience

Excellent analytical and organisation skills

Experience in a large company with distributed responsibilities

Fluently in both English and German
