Contractor required for 'Unix Administrator' opportunity with our prestigious Swiss banking client in Zurich
Elan is seeking a 'Unix Administrator' to join an international team
Role Description:
This is a 3rd level support role, with a strong focus on technical knowhow of the technologies in scope, whether they are vendor products or in-house developed solutions. In terms of technical knowhow, excellent Unix administration and Scripting skills are highest priority, but good cross-platform know-how (Windows, Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL) will be very beneficial.
Technical Support:
- 3rd level support for security tools and solutions (BeyondTrust Powerbroker/Powerkeeper, MIT Kerberos, Sun LDAP, in-house developed security solutions and related housekeeping processes)
- Escalation point for troubleshooting & incident management for the technologies in scope
- Request fulfilment for the technologies in scope
- Support planning and coordination of major changes for the technologies in scope
- Identify inefficiencies and process/solution failures, suggest improvements and drive their implementation
Project Support and Coordination:
- Planning & coordination of global and regional projects related to security & risk (eg global upgrades of security tools and solutions)
- Support and coordination of execution activity required to close out audit actions
- Where required, assist with project implementation work
- Act as a consultant within projects
Skill Requirements:
- Senior technical Unix skills mandatory (Solaris, Redhat Linux)
- Scripting skills, preferable Perl and PowerShell
- Database/Windows skills desirable (Oracle, Sybase and MSSQL databases)
- Experience with one or more of the involved technologies (BeyondTrust Powerbroker/Powerkeeper, MIT Kerberos, Sun LDAP/CriticalPath LDAP)
- Thorough understanding of security & compliance related processes and requirements
- Independent working style
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Experience working in global teams
- Good communication and coordination skills (interfacing to many different teams
Work Place: Zürich
Start Date is planned for: ASAP
Duration: 6 months+
