Project Manager
For my large banking client based in Zurich, Switzerland we are looking for a Project Manager
Location: Zurich
Start: 01.07.12
Duration: 6 months+
Languages: English and German both oustanding level
Scope of Work:
Role Overview:
- Supporting the long-term success of our client by providing high quality IT-wide project management services for strategic business and IT initiatives including Conceptual Design, Counseling, Business Modeling, Organizational Transformation (structural and procedural analysis/design of organizations, etc.), and conduct due diligence on M&A/Divestiture activities.
- Actively support the CIO and functional/regional heads in IT transformation projects by providing comprehensive and efficient project leadership work based on best practices.
Key Deliverables:
- Lead and realisation of strategic/cross departemental IT Programs and Projects in an international environment
- Ensure flawless and timely delivery of agreed project deliveries and consulting mandates.
- Build and maintain trust-based and professional relationships with the most senior IT leadership team, act as sparring partner for IT management
- Stakeholder management
Additional duties/Control tasks:
- Project delivery according to plan
- Fair allocation of resources
- Resource utilization, client satisfaction and budget control
Qualifications/competencies:
- University degree, ideally a technical background with additional business education (eg MBA)
- 10 years of extensive experience in IT project management, proven project delivery track record, experience working with top managers of a large global enterprise
- Excellent Banking skills and management consulting background
- Strong content leader and problem solver, independent also in politically difficult situations
- Excellent people skills (development, coaching, interacting with difficult persons)
- Outstanding oral and written communications skills (English and German)
- Willing to travel, if required
- PMI or IPMA certification
- Broad network among senior leading banking business and IT executives and understanding of strategies of key leading banking units are an asset
- Good knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS) and MI reporting landscape in a bank
