A global, pre-eminent telecommunications giant, has an urgent requirement for a large scale critical project.
Responsibilities
a) Front Office Engineer for Transport Network and SDH systems.
b) Duties and Responsibilities:
o Transport Network Supervision
o Problem solving capabilities within transport network
o Interaction with Field Services Engineering Team for troubleshooting
Requirements
o Experience working in a Front Office environment for transport/SDH systems.
o Knowledge of SDH management systems and OSS.
o Ideally experience with trouble ticket systems (Remedy ideal but others if possible).
o Able to do basic troubleshooting on transport systems.
o Proactively manage tickets coordinating multiple parties in a timely and professional manner.
o Able to coordinate multiple tasks/teams at the same time.
o Good communicator in English.
o Willing to work over an extended day (likely to be no more than 7am to 7pm and possibly the occasional night).
o Ideally willing to work through the complete project without taking holiday.
