We are currently searching for a Junior Developer in Geneva, Switzerland. This is a fantastic 3-month opportunity for a large multi-national client.
Requirements:
- Programming experience in database, VBA
- Proficiency with Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Good statistical skills. Financial educational background a plus.
- Good writing and communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus
- Attention to detail, flexibility and ability to absorb heavy workload under tight deadlines are essential.
Your primary function will be in performing the following duties:
- Develop user friendly queries aimed at retrieving ad-hoc information from existing databases.
- Development of existing XL and Access tools.
- Powerpoint presentation to promote new functionalities among users.
- Develop an automated process to deliver investment ideas from existing securities.
Role, tasks and objectives:
- Assist Sales Manager in promoting investment ideas among FA's
- Interact with Global Product Specialists delivering daily solutions to FA needs
- Promote investment ideas among FA's
- Coordinate relationship with external Asset Managers
- Prepare presentations for Sales Meetings and client pitches
- Sales Manager back-up on Sales Meeting presentations
- Assist with the approval of third party fund purchases/transfers
- Coordinate the Agenda of Sales Meetings/prepare room/greet guest speakers.
- Develop regular and ad-hoc MIS reports relevant to Sales and FA Management
- Assist Sales Manager in organizing training for FA's
- Assist Sales Manager in Coordination with Marketing & Communications and FA's in organizing specific client events
- Assist Sales Manager in Idea Generation meetings among FA's
- Assist FA's in preparing client pitches, presentations and investment proposals
- Participate together with Sales Manager on internal ad-hoc projects.
Position details:
- Location: Geneva.
- Start time: Beginning July 2012 (negotiable).
- Duration: Minimum three months (negotiable).
