MS Silverlight C# Developer - BANKING - ZURICH Switzerland - CONTRACT
Location: Zurich
Rate: CHF
Term: 6 months
Start Date: 1 July 2012
Our client, a leading financial institution is searching for a Senior Silverlight Developer to join a team of 8 at their central location in Zurich Switzerland.
This is an English speaking role - the team of 8 are multinationals and all coding/documentation is in English
Daily Tasks and Functions:
- Developing on Silverlight
- Supporting the business logic
- Managing supply issues
- Providing technical domain expertise in Silverlight across the business
- Aiding design on the functions for the applications
Requirements:
* Has an in depth understanding of OO principles.
* Is an expert in Silverlight/WPF and C#
* Demonstrates experience of using Design Patterns (advantages and drawbacks).
* Has experience of developing software for a large Enterprise, including n-tier development.
* Has experience of using 3rd party frameworks/components (eg Telerik) and can decide when it is appropriate to use these.
* RDBMS experience (eg SQL Server/Oracle) helpful
* Has worked on applications with complex scalability and performance challenges.
* Experience of the full project life cycle.
* Understanding and exposure to Test Driven Development.
* Experience of Agile practices and processes (eg SCRUM).
* Has used a language other than .NET eg Java or Scripting language.
* Knowledge of Real Time trading platforms or other critical transaction based solutions.
* Hands-on knowledge of FX or similarly complex investment banking products would be ideal.
