Contract-Procurement Manager -Telecomms
Our client is urgently looking for a Contract Manager for a 7 months contract based in Zurich.
Tasks:
You could see yourself negotiating sub-contract orders, and monitoring sub-contractors, planning critical dates, or organising labour. You would also be responsible for agreeing extra work to be done on a contract, helping to resolve any disputes which come up, and identifying areas for improvement in client's contracting processes locally.
Duties and responsibilities:
As our new Contracts Manager you will oversee the contract management for the suppliers, projects from the very start and through to completion,
You must ensure that all contract and procurement tasks are completed on time and within its budget. A part of this task is, to participate in ensuring a sufficient qualified supplier resource base for projects actual need for HW and services
You will be responsible for evaluation of subcontractors' performance.
You will be working on a wide variety of projects.
You will be responsible for qualifying and certifying suppliers of telecom installation work and subcontractors.
Also the Contract Manager is responsible for collecting cost information for similar services and building cost benchmark for the assigned categories and contracts.
On a daily basis the Contract Manager must conduct minor negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors to maximize company's benefit from the execution faze of the projects.
You will as a Contract Manager assist in organizing and conducting bidding activities, RF preparation, offers evaluation, negotiation and contract signing.
Supplier contracts management.
Key requirements:
You will need to understand all aspects of the contracting process, and have good understanding of the special technical building requirements for Telecommunication solutions.
In order to be successful you will find that good commercial sense is a must.
At least more than 3 years of work experience contract management, preferably with in the Telecommunication or IT industry.
Bachelor's degree or above in procurement, telecommunication engineering, or other relevant area will be an advantage.
Fluency in English and German as a minimum, and if German is mother tone will be an advantage, Chinese language knowledge is a plus.
