On behalf of our client, an international pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are currently seeking a Senior Oracle DBA. This position is based in Basel, Switzerland and is a contract for 12 months with the option to extend.
You will work in a global team installing, configuring and patching Oracle software versions 10g & 11g as well as Oracle RAC 10g/11g.
Furthermore you will work on the upgrade from 10g to 11g and will be responsible for backing up and restoring Oracle databases using RMAN. Support and troubleshooting of Oracle Database Server and oracle products will also be part of your role.
For this challenging role you need to fulfil these requirements:
- Min. 8 years of documented experience as Oracle DBA
- Excellent understanding of oracle 10g/11g database administration in a production environment
- Good knowledge of database programming, IT Operations or application development
- Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a big plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
