The scope of Client Classification Program (CCP) is to provide an infrastructure that is capable to support upcoming legal & regulatory requirements. These initiatives fundamentally change the way of developing products, managing product shelves and advising international investors. The already analyzed rule frameworks can be divided into two groups costumer protection requirements (eg MiFID, AIFMD) and tax regulations (eg FATCA, EBT). Both groups impose new requirements regarding process steps, controls, client data and evidence to ensure compliance (documents).
The new infrastructure in Booking Centre CH shall support these new client certification requirements. The expected quantity of affected clients, the complexity of the different rule frameworks and the number of involved business units makes manual workarounds unfeasible. The aim of CCP is to highly automate the processes that are required to correctly certify the clients and to allow adaptations to new regulatory requirements within a couple of weeks. Therefore the following topics are in scope of CCP:
Implementation of a rule engine to flexibly cope with the changing regulatory requirements
Usage of the new scanning infrastructure (SDP) and the rule engine for highly automated document processing (incl. Update of Client Static Data)
New referencing concept to link documents to Contractual Partners, Power of Attorneys, Beneficial Owners, etc.
Synchronization of data between CI and CQUE systems for PoA, Bo, CO and adaptation of down stream systems
Adaptation of Account Opening and Mutation processes
Adaptation of Datawarehouse and corresponding data marts
Background Project Infrastruktur
Set up of a rule engine according to functional and non-functional requirements
Capabilities:
Processing form logic and storing form data
Evaluating needed documents according to a business event
Generic solution for storing suitability and tax classifications
Event driven recalculation of client classifications as well as manual confirmations/overrides
Supplying client classifications to down stream systems
