The Liferay Software Engineer would be responsible for development and consultancy surrounding Liferay and associated open-source enterprise solutions and portlets (Alfresco, Spring, JSF, JPA, ICEfaces).
Skills/Experience:
*A skilled Liferay senior/expert with 3+ years hands-on experience with Liferay portal
*A strong customer orientation and focus on requirements engineering/business analysis
*Solid Java development experience
*Experience of JEE 1.5 and JSF (Java Server Faces)
*Must have excellent understanding of Liferay
*Strong experience of successful Java/Liferay based projects
*Extensive Continuous Integration experience (SVN, Maven, Bamboo)
*Excellent ability to communicate and explain open-source components and aspects of software development (both to technical and non-technical audiences)
*Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum
*Experience of Spring, JPA and ICEfaces is highly desirable
Personal Specification:
*Excellent levels of written and spoken English
*A knowledge of German is highly desirable, but not essential
*Must be very customer facing and business oriented with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
*Excellent team player who will embrace the open, transparent culture of the Company
*Self-motivated with strong ability to think on your feet
*Innovative and creative thinker with exemplary work ethic
Education:
*A Technology or IT based Degree is highly desirable for this position
