Profile Of Organization
Responsible for performing a broad range of analytical tasks for Transportation products including researching and analyzing trends in the cargo industry, analyzing data; developing and producing management reports; tracking and coordinating domestic and international shipments; and recommending and implementing changes to maintain a cost and service advantage. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

Job Description
• Monitor and analyze activity to evaluate delivery efficiency and yield.
• Analyze profitability of each lane segment on a daily and monthly basis.
• Track, measure and evaluate carrier/vendor performance with emphasis on transit times, claims and costs.
• Monitor carrier service and drive continuous improvement against the corporate standard
• Develop and produce weekly transportation reports that track vendor expense
• Participate in the development of RFQ responses for business development opportunities focused on global accounts.
• Work collaboratively with the management team to develop the parameters and requirements for effective business operations including carrier selection criteria, routing guides and carrier performance measures.
• Develop forecasting models to predict volume and resource requirements to achieve service and productivity goals.
• Work on special projects related to company performance and productivity improvements.
• Analyze capacity constraints on key trade lanes and provide recommendations on alternate strategies to meet service commitments and reduce costs.
• Analyze regional and local financial statements and recommend changes in existing processes to control costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And Training Qualifications
• High School Degree or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred;
• Minimum two to three years related experience.

Preferred Experience And Knowledge
• Strong financial analytical skills with experience in performing quantitative statistical analysis, simulation models, and mathematical models.
• Proficient in the use of analytical techniques such as statistical probability distribution, correlation, data sampling and relating sets of numbers.
• Ability to generate error-free reports, spreadsheets, charts, and graphs.
• Knowledgeable of the company’s products, services, systems and operations.
• Familiar with internal systems (rate tables, contract management systems, etc) to retrieve current and benchmark requests for new air rates.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry trends including carrier rate actions, general rate increases (GRIs), and fuels which influence rates.
• Demonstrated positive, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills and a customer-focused orientation.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve results.
• Must be adaptable to changing needs of client(s) and the goals of the Company.
• Effective planning and organizational skills to meet reporting deadlines.
• Effective follow-up skills.

Technical Functional Skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to read, analyze and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, customers and vendors.
• PC literate.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
• Proficiency in statistical applications specifically Excel, Access, SQL, Oracle, Minitab
