For our client in the Pharma industry based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a Engineer Electronics.
We are a small team of electronic- and mechanical engineers within the R&D Centralized and Point of Care Solutions area. We are focused on product care for complex IVD Instruments for clinical chemistry, urinalysis and biotechnology. We ensure that the systems comply with the regulatory and security requirements over the entire life cycle. Our daily business are typical product care activities like troubleshooting support for Instrument Operations & Customer Service, replacement of discontinued components, design updates due to quality issues, new regulations or cost improvements.
Areas of responsibility:
* Product care support on legacy complex IVD instruments - working with expert developers from different disciplines (software, motion control, liquid handling, infrastructure, photometry…) - working with external development partners / suppliers, the Roche global customer support and Roche operations.
* Execute typical product care tasks focusing the electronic architecture like: Replacements of discontinued parts, cost optimizations, root cause analysis, bug fixes, product updates
* Development of electronic hardware and low level firmware (embedded C), creating schematics, integration into the system
* Concept creation and evaluation for electronic designs and electronic architectures - feasibility studies, creation of functional samples
* Creating and updating technical documentation and deliverables for product care projects
* Development and evaluation of tools for HW or SW tests
* Verification of modules, system tests, proof of conformity tests, endurance tests
Professional and technical requirements:
* Bachelor or Master of Science in Electronic Engineering or completed apprenticeship with working experience
* At least 2 years' experience in development of electronic hardware (analog and digital circuits, schematics, PCBA design) and low level firmware (embedded C)
* First experience with projects in the mechatronic field and an interdisciplinary understanding
* First experience in a highly regulated environment, preferred in the medical device industry
* First Experience with troubleshooting in complex projects
* Fluent in written and spoken German and English
* Good communication skills
* Strong team and customer orientation in multicultural environment
Nice to Haves:
* Experience in the Diagnostics industry (preferably in the field of Lab Automation) is a plus
* Experience in Embedded Linux, ECAD (Mentor-Expedition), STM32 Microcontrollers, LabView
* Experience in EMC and UL Safety Standards
