Mainframe Engineer - IBM (w/m) vacancy for our Zurich based client in the public sector.Your experience/skills:
- 6+ years of work experience as Mainframe Engineer or in similar position
- Very good expertise with IBM z/OS software development using Assembler and other technologies like JCL or DB2
- Expert level skills in z/OS installs, configuration and systems management
- Experience in C, C++ and Java, Linux skills is an asset
- Previous professional background in Information technology/financial services is preferred
- Strong team player with strong work-ethic and the ability to effectively prioritize the tasks
- Languages: English, fluent in written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Developing middleware as well as DB software on IBM z/OS
- Assisting the application programming teams with tools
- Maintaining and supporting the software in production
- Being a part of projects which include designing, implementing and defining migration paths for new platforms
- Working within the fields of Engineering and Information Technology
