Briefing Website N’Joy!

1. About the business “N’Joy!”
What is N’Joy!?
N’Joy! is a complete new business, that is going to be launched in Feb 2021: A home cooking service of two passionate foodies including event management.
“N’Joy! takes care of everything for the guests to have fun at their homes or at the booked venue.”
• Service: Planning your event, shopping groceries, prepping e.g. table setting and decoration, cooking, and serving meals
• Mission: Making a home more comfortable, warm, and cosy by sharing meals with friends and family.
• Brand personality: easy, transparent, affordable, flexible, and authentic
N’Joy! provides a booking and purchase service. Our website allows the customer to book a private chef for an event and to purchase extra services such as table decoration, motto parties, etc. By offering this service N’Joy! allows you to invite your loved ones to our home, but without too much effort. The mission of N’Joy! is to make a home more comfortable, warm and cosy by sharing meals with friends and family. In a day and age where most do not have the time or energy (or skill) to plan, shop, prep and cook for hours before having friends over. Eating together provides a fun time to be connected and calms you down. And this is exactly what we would love to provide!


The Founders
The founders Vanessa Schmidt and Trang Nguyen are passionate foodies, who will be organizing as well as executing the events (planning, shopping, prepping, cooking, and serving). When starting the business, we will be executing everything by ourselves (planning, shopping, prepping, cooking, and serving).
If this business is getting busier, we would like to work with independent self-employed professionals. In providing the services, N’Joy! then acts as the agent of the Independent Professionals and / or Retailers.
2. Target audience & users
(Young) adults between 25 and 45 years from Basel, who are looking for an alternative to going out to a restaurant or bar, but still want to spend a carefree and great evening for two or with their friends for an affordable sum. Especially open-minded, young professionals could be an exciting target group.

3. Objectives of the New Site
We are aiming for a modern website:
• that allows the customer to easily understand our service (clear, simple, minimalistic)
• that provides a simple booking process
• that offers set menus and single dishes to chose from as well as extra services
• that automatically calculates the added menus, dishes services to a visible and structured receipt which shows you the total amount of your order (e.g. like an online grocery shop)

Selecting process
1. Adding and removing the chosen set menus and/or single dishes
2. Customer can change set menus by exchanging any course with another single dish
3. Filter function (gluten free, vegetarian, etc.)
4. Live calculator with a visible receipt on the right always shows the total amount of selected items
Booking process
• Calendar – The customer must book at least 5 days ahead. The calendar should be showing available dates only.
• Discount code – We would like to be able to offer our customers different discount codes within the booking process

The customer can subscribe to our newsletter by entering his/her email address.

1. Easy navigation (user friendly, lots of pictures that intentionally leads the customer to the information he needs)

Chat tool (always shown on – right down)
A chat tool that is always shown on the bottom right, so customers can always drop their questions to. The chat will have an introduction text (e.g. welcome to N’Joy! If you are based in Basel and it’s region simply place your order for spending quality time with your friends and family.), that always pops up when a new customer joins a website and an automatic answer when someone is writing: e.g. thanks a lot for your enquiry. We will get back to you within the next hours. We would prefer this chat tool to relate to our current e-mail address: , so we can chat with the customer easily on hangout.

9. In-house requirements
The website must be built as a template for us to be able to easily manage updating and adding or content (pictures and text) on a day-to-day basis.
We want to be able to get the following data
• standard user data from Google Analytics (demographics, etc.)
• full data overview of the entire selecting and ordering process (customer journey)
• dashboard with full data overview of orders and sales (monthly sales, order quantity per month, average order amount per month, list of all orders in detail, etc.)

15. Budget
We would like to start with a very low budget but are also very keen to work with you long term in order develop the website further in 2021. Please send us your proposals for the following three stages that are explained above (7. Architecture, technical features, and requirements):
• Stage 1 – Please send a proposal for stage 1 with existing add-ons - Go Live date on 15th Dec 2020
• Stage 2 – Please send a proposal for stage 2 with newly implemented add-ons (add-ons that we have mentioned in stage 1, but need to be newly implemented)
• Stage 3 - Please send a proposal for stage 3 with newly implemented add-ons as explained in 7. Architecture, technical features, and requirements
