For a project at our client‘s site, an insurance company in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
IT Sourcing Specialist – Procurement Management
In this role, you are responsible for developing and executing an IT sourcing strategy for our client to achieve ongoing year over year material costs savings targets and to ensure an ongoing competitive advantage.
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Management or Supply Chain in a complex, multi-site enterprise, preferably in the insurance or banking industry
- Knowledge of business planning, modeling, and concepts
- Ability to navigate the political landscape with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to build trust and understanding across disparate parts of the organization
- Demonstrated high degree of accountability
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage
Your Responsibilities:
- Communicate and promote the sourcing strategy internally to management and key business unit stakeholders, while ensuring the strategy evolves to adequately address changing market conditions.
- Successfully execute the sourcing strategy through close collaboration with Global Sourcing and Business Unit organizations
- Negotiate supply agreements with strategic suppliers through the Request for Proposal process
- Establish intelligence and market knowledge to enable the team to make informed decisions
- Closely monitor the supply market with regards to pricing, commodity trends, supplier capacity, supplier news, industry news, and new product developments
- Uses professional concepts to contribute to the development of company concepts and principles and to achieve objectives in creative and effective ways
