My client is a Swiss bak with enviable reputation which is looking to hire for a senior systems engineer for a 12 month assigment to be based in Zurich.As a member of the Linux Application Platform Operation Team, you are jointly responsible for the operation of the central application platform (Java EE and web infrastructure).
- You answer inquiries and solve incidents
- You monitor application platforms and associated systems
- You provision infrastructure components such as web and application servers, API gateways, web application firewalls (WAF), load balancers and certificates in production and non-production environments
- You carry out maintenance work on application platforms and servers
- You standardize and automate activities - you deploy business applications
- You work in engineering and business / integration projects
- You work on major disruptions in task forces
Requirements (content, methodology)
We expect a computer science education such as FH or TS
- several years of experience in the operation and further development of web application platforms
- a quick grasp, analytical and conceptual thinking, independent and precise way of working
- readiness for on-call and working outside normal working hours (evening, weekend)
Requirements (technology e.g. Java, Linux etc.):
- Good developer knowledge in Java and Python
- Good knowledge of automated CI / CD pipelines and their tools
- Sound knowledge of / in - Linux / RHEL, Shell Scripting, Ansible, Git, Web & Application Server (mainly Java EE and SE)
- Network, DNS, load balancer, TLS, HTTP - Operation and integration of applications
- Experience in the following areas is an advantage:
-API gateway, WAF, Docker and Kubernetes - In methods of software development as well as software developer
