Trading Book Validation Specialist vacancy for a globally operating Zurich based client in the financial sector.Your experience/skills:
- Master's Degree in a Quantitative discipline like Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Quantitative Finance
- 4+ years' experience in Finance, preferably in Governance, Project Management, Business Management, COO roles, ideally, in an international Corporate Environment and/or within the Banking or Finance industry
- Detailed knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook as well as previous experience or knowledge of VBA is a must
- Being results-oriented with strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Combine persuasive social and problem solving skills with a high service orientation and quality mind-set
- Strong dedication as a team member and the skills to liaise with different partners across functions and hierarchies have enabled you in the past to deliver good results
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English
Your tasks:
- Working with the Validation Quants, supporting the Model Tiering and coordinating all control related activities for the team
- Engaging with the wider Governance Team and representing effectively TBV Governance
- Liaising with the wider Governance team and with validators for model-life cycle topics, including Model Risk Assessment (Tiering), model risk exceptions (waivers) etc.
- Coordinating the Internal Review process post a model validation activity
- Supporting the Governance and the Regulatory Strategy with regulatory initiatives, auditing issues and special programs, including planning, resourcing, tracking, closure material etc.
- Preparing the material for the Model Risk committees and tracking validations and other milestones (including tollgates for regulatory models) to make sure the team meet their deadlines
- Regularly assessing the data quality in the model inventory system and take actions to remediate issues
