We are supporting our client, a global private bank in the area of Zurich, in finding a Senior Data Engineer.Tasks
- Technical data engineer for Data & Analytics platform based on Kubernetes and Hadoop
- Involved in Design and Implementation of data architecture relevant topics across the common part of the data platform
- Determines structural requirements and architecture for structural changes
- Implementation of the requirements and Data & Analytics platform
- Strive to identify re-use potential across different data platform consumers
- Key resource for data onboarding & implementation tasks incl. testing of newly sourced data sets
Requirements
- Higher education (e.g. “Fachhochschule”,“Wirtschaftsinformatik”)
- Working experience in Python, Spark and Jupyter Notebook
- 5-10 years’ experience with Data Architecture / Data Engineering
- Hands-on Big Data experience using known tech stacks
- Reporting experience (e.g Tableau, Power BI)
- Fluency in English, preferably in German
- Preferable:
- Knowledge of Kafka Streaming in applied projects
- Experience with Job Orchestrators like NiFi / AirFlow Solid Agile experience in Data related projects
- Trainings in Cloudera / Google Cloud Platform / MS Azure / Hortonworks and Big Data
