For our client a big pharmaceutical company based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a highly motivated and qualified Junior Application Specialist / Junior Test Analyst
Background:
In the Business Area Centralized & Point of Care Solutions, System Integration Department a new R&D team was established to develop the next generation of highly innovative and patient oriented Lab Hematology IVD systems for Central Lab solutions.
In the Application Development team we are looking for a Junior Application Specialist / Junior Test Analyst to support us in the daily laboratory routine as wells as preparation, execution and documentation of experiments. Tasks also include the contribution as a test analyst in the System Integration Product Care team for Clinical Chemistry and Custom Biotech Diagnostic Systems. In this combined role you will be part of multi-disciplinary teams and work on new development as well as launched products.
Tasks:
* Support in the Biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory:
* maintaining of the laboratory, laboratory analyzers and analytical instruments
* tracking laboratory inventory (e.g supplies, specimens, raw materials, reagents)
* performing daily routines
* running controls and processing samples
* laboratory responsible person
* Close collaboration with scientists, engineers and hematology experts:
* support by conducting laboratory experiments and protocol testing on specific equipment (e.g. Hematology Analyzers)
* Independent preparation and documentation of experiments including data analysis
* Product care activities including 3rd level support and verification of SW / HW updates on Clinical Chemistry or Custom Biotech products
Must Haves:
* 1st experience (Min 1 year) in working with biological material and potentially infectious samples in a BSL-2 laboratory
* Bachelors/Masters degree in Natural Science (Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or cognate disciplines) or apprenticeship as lab technician (Biology, Medical Diagnostics, Chemistry)
* English AND German
* Very Good MS Office (Excel for data analyses) and documentation skills
* High level of attention, flexibility in a constantly changing environment, ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time and deal with priority changes
* Ability to grasp quickly new topics, understand problems and work independently in a structured way
* Strong troubleshooting skills and a "Systems thinking" mindset / multidisciplinary approach are required
* Cooperation in an interdisciplinary and intercultural team
Nice to Haves:
* Experience in hematology lab
* Experience in flow cytometry and fluorescence microscopy
* Previous experience in the GXP / IVD area
We are not searching for someone with PhD degree.
