Medical Writer (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- As the Lead Medical Writer for Neuroscience and Rare Diseases you will interact closely with a team of clinical scientists and functional experts working in early phase drug development and be responsible for delivery of quality clinical documents including but not limited to protocols and informed consent
- Main responsibilities will include writing clinical protocols & informed consent & oversight of external vendors
- Therefore, this position is very much a hybrid one between vendor/project management and medical writing
- Actively support the writing needs for a variety of clinical team stakeholders: edits, re-writes and/or proofreads a wide range of clinical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and global guidelines
- Collaborate with Regulatory Documentation Group to ensure that effective medical writing processes and standards are implemented to achieve deliverables
- Plan timelines for writing review and editing of documents to ensure alignment with project timelines
- Participate as needed as a member or ad-hoc participant of key functional/cross-functional teams (i.e., project team, clinical expert team, study management team) to ensure appropriate documentation guidance and support
- Manage and support the outsourcing of documents to external medical writers
- Support selection and management of appropriate templates within document management system
Main qualifications
- Profound experience in medical writing (either agency or pharma company)
- Ability to hit the ground running, someone with experience in vendor management and with an education in Life Sciences (PhD preferred)
- An experienced medical writer able to handle a standalone position, to write & edit medical writing outsourced and interact with clinical scientists
- Experience in early phases clinical development
- Fluent English
