Purpose:
To provide operational support and expertise for People Solutions communications enterprise wide. By working across the Communications, P&O/OD, Employee Engagement and program functions to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive People Solutions narrative aligned with our culture transformation and One P&O strategy.
Major Accountabilities:
- Implementing the core narrative and key messages for People Solutions in line with the global culture narrative
- Support Enterprise Communications and program partners in bring the narrative to life with impactful story telling skills and techniques
- Identify synergies among programs and initiatives, building a narrative foundation that connects them to one another as well as to the core global culture narrative
- Advise and implement channel strategy, support content creation and framework
- Support in leveraging existing communities (ie regional Novartis Learning Institutes, EfL country coordinators) to build global, cross-divisional network of People Solutions catalysts to:
- amplify global content fluently and authentically, and identify and develop local success stories for global distribution
- Monitor, model and support message consistency around key People Solutions initiatives across all internal and external channels
- Supports inter functional communications including global learning town halls/webcast and function change communications
- Actively support the culture transformation external positioning through amplifying curiosity and learning
- Actively identifies relevant external engagement opportunities in conjunction with external communications
- Provide operational support to P&O and Culture comms as needed
Ideal Background:
Education:
- Minimum: University degree in relevant area (strategic communications, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, or the social sciences psychology, sociology etc.)
- Proven experience in leading large scale and global employee engagement strategies and programs; solid experience in driving communications aspects of complex business transformations
Languages:
- Proficient in English (read/write/speak)
- Other languages a strong plus (esp. Chinese and Japanese)
Experience:
- 5+ years in communication and/or change management or relevant area with strong focus on internal communication and change
- Ability to network with and influence Novartis leadership teams of various functions at Global, Region and Country levels
- Experience of working within a shared service organisation is desirable
