System Manager
Job Discription
You work in one of the sub-teams of the "Application Packaging and Testing" Project. You do not package any applications and you will not perform application testing, but you coordinate all activities around testing and packaging and you closely track the schedule and progress against milestones. The project provides the Windows 7 test environment globally.
Applications are tested by business / IM customers. Packages are created by a different internal department or external provider. Depending on the sub-team, you are responsible for one or many of the following tasks:
You need to communicate with business / IM customers to explain testing processes, requirements, timelines, etc. and you assign a virtual or physical test machine to the user. You also need to supervise that required documentation (installation guides, test specifications for UATs, request forms) are created as required. In addition, you support the customer with the creation of this documentation as far as possible.
If an application is ready for packaging, you ensure that all required items (software, license key, documentation, information, etc.) are available as required, and you hand over the application to the packaging organization.
Highest document and data quality is key for the success of the project. Progress is tracked in a database updated by you and in case of delay you'll escalate according to well defined processes.
For packages coming back from the packaging organization, you contact again the customer and ensure that formal User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is performed as required. The UAT is performed by the customer. After a successful UAT, you hand over the package to the rollout organization.
Requirements

experienced user of Windows 7 or Windows XP incl. software installation, etc.
Fluent in English and German
