IT Project Manager: SAP/ Data Migration/Banking/GermanRole Purpose: For our customer, a renowned Banking domain client in Bern Switzerland, we are looking for an IT Project Manager who will be responsible in leading projects. Ensuring the provision of services with regard to delivery objects, dates, costs and risks. Establishing the project organization and leading the project team for a contract initially for 12 months with strong possibility of extension.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing and concretizing the project idea; Assess the project idea in terms of feasibility, cost-effectiveness, risks and success factors in consultation with portfolio, program and overall project management
- Should be able to work out the project application with objectives, resources, milestones, schedule, costs, expenses, procedure model, project structure plan, risk plan and project organization; Transfer the project application to a coordinated project order (incl. approval)
- Will be responsible for building an appropriate project organisation; Lead the project team and set up appropriate project management processes and subdividing the project into sub-projects and work packages; Create the related orders; Evaluating suppliers and working out contracts; Planning the deployment of personnel (setting responsibilities, performance targets, personnel planning) for the project; Recruiting, leading and assessing (qualifying) project employees
-Should be able to recognise the impact of change requests, problems and changing framework conditions on the project; in the case of project plan variances, the preparation of solution proposals and agree with the same order-giving.
- Should be responsible for defining the project marketing and communication plan; Ensuring project information; Involving stakeholders in project processing (maintaining relationships)
- Establishing project-related quality assurance, implementing quality assurance measures;
- Ensuring the quality of the project results and initiating their acceptance and approval
checking and decreasing project results; Inducing their acceptance and approval by the client
- Set the metrics for progress and success control; Selecting appropriate processes for measuring and evaluating key figures; Apply controlling tools to monitor and influence the behaviour of project employees and external suppliers.
- Responsible for planning and controlling the project in terms of delivery objects, dates, costs, quality and risks; Create status reports; Identify and justify deviations from the project plans and initiate any necessary measures; Identify and monitor risks and opportunities as well as review the effectiveness of the measures taken.
- Responsible for preparation of the project final report (time, cost, functionality, teamwork, achievement of goals, use of product/service) as well as documenting the learning effects/experience from the perspective of the project team.
Must Have Skills:
- Must have atleast five or more years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager
- Must have good experience with integration projects and data migrations.
- Must have good experience/knowledge working with human resources management / conflict management, Structured work.
- Must be Open, emphatic, goes towards people on their part and affable, but determined and goal-oriented in the matter.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of the subject area as well as knowledge in neighbouring fields
- Should be able to carry out orders independently and can guide experienced persons professionally.
- Should have good ability to conduct professional project management.
- Must have good ability to work conceptually, advise and solve challenging problems in the field
- Should be able to be classified as a cadre within a larger company, but without having direct managerial responsibility.
Nice to Have:
- Good experience working with banking environment.
- Must have In-depth SAP knowledge is not necessary/not expected, but minimal SAP knowledge
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any technical background or relevant experience in related environment.
