For a project at our client‘s site, based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
Communication & Outreach Manager (90%)
In this role you will be responsible for organize and coordinate external communication in order to ensure coherent messaging and outside perception (online and offline).
Your Qualifications:
- Many years’ experience in project / events management with focus on communication
- Experience in international, multicultural marketing/communications experience (knowledge of the NGO sector would be an advantage)
- Well versed in strategic thinking, writing, planning and executing
- In-depth knowledge of standard communication tools and measures (online and offline) including social media handling
- Knowledge of Wordpress editing, and CRM management
- Availability for regular travel within Switzerland and sometimes to other European Countries
- Strong online collaboration skills and good understanding of technology (IT, wiki, social media)
- Fluent in German, English and French, Italian is an advantage
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the focal point in terms of external communication
- Switzerland’s programs and activities (online and offline). This includes the provision of leadership, expertise as well as counselling
- Oversee external and internal reporting activities (WMF, community, Board, other
- stakeholders…)
- Draft, manage and monitor WMCH’s overall communication strategy and related plans (as
- necessary) and oversee its implementation and related activities
- Participate in national and international events to increase the brand image and reputation
- Oversee, optimize and propose SMART solutions to internal communication aspects pertaining to members, community members, and others as needed
- Lead marketing and content operations for awareness/outreach projects and help with marketing efforts in terms of organizational fundraising as required by CEO
- Actively look for, and manage partnership opportunities in close collaboration with CEO
- Oversee the respect of the brand guidelines and style in Switzerland
