Mobile Data Core Engineer
Our client in telecommunications are recruiting a Mobile Data Core Engineer for an initial 6 month contract.
Project
Support the PS Engineering Team, responsible for all engineering aspects of the assigned mobile core systems
Responsibilities
- Engineering of mobile core network platforms
- To support product development process in the areas of mobile core networks
- To address conceptual network reliability, redundancy and quality of service aspect in the domain of mobile voice and data traffic by constant monitoring and planning network elements and interfaces
- To ensure controlled network growth by triggering HW extensions
- To provide network design and network changes proposals (optimization and/or planning) based on traffic changes and forecasts or project requests
- Design IP connectivity for mobile core platforms
- To provide project management for network changes, extensions
- To initiate and support internal implementations within networks
- To build guidelines on how to grow the network in a controlled and structured manner
- Mobile core systems responsibility
- Capacity management

- Project delivery, either as PM or expert in the team
Challenge
Finding a good balance between available resources/skills and demands. Meeting customer requirements on time. Sticking to processes whilst keeping the necessary flexibility. Maintain motivated on challenging projects/tasks, even if multiple projects need to be implemented at the same time. Being able to manage the broad range of responsibilities as a platform owner in the Mobile Core Network
Profile
Education:
- Degree in Engineering
Practical experience:
Must have worked several years in an Engineering and/or Operations environment in telecommunication company, preferably using Huawei mobile core platforms
- Very good understanding of IP Networking and security (FW)
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Project Management
