NextLink is looking for a Automation Test Engineerwith Fluent English to work in Switzerland for a contract position of 12 months + with a lot of possibility to be extended in a multinational client.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In the role of Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
a) Creating and/or further developing a test automation framework (some starting point exists from a previous project) that enables automating our functional integration tests, typically HMI based, sometimes still for individual applications, but also and increasingly across several applications, legacy and new SOA based ones.
b) Automating tests for ongoing application modifications (business functions and move to SOA components), thus relevantly increasing our efficiency and quick feedback cycles in Agile testing
In addition you will also contribute in the following ways to progress our organisation's path towards Agile and DevOps embedding testing of hybrid (legacy and SOA components) solutions:
1) Participate and contribute with your experience to the Community of Practice "Testing"
2) Lead by example with practical hands on experience in testing best practices (e.g. Test automation, ATDD, BDD, TDD…) in an Agile environment to support the respective team's development towards Agile testing.
Mandatory Experience / skills
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar function or role
* Excellent knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe,…), practices and principles
* Experience in testing various levels of architecture (services, APIs, UIs…)
* Experience with scripting languages (javascript, python, bash, …)
* Experience developing test automation frameworks
* Experience with test automation tools (JMeter, SoapUI, Squish, Katalon)
* Experience with CI/CD and related tools (Puppet, Jenkins, Git)
* Experience with requirement and testing tools (Polarion, JIRA, Confluence)
* Experience with complex test environments
* Experience in testing in a regulated environment
Technical competences and skills
* Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving mindset
* Willingness to learn new tools and improve workflows
* Experience in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
* Very good English (spoken and written)
* Good interpersonal skills
Nice to have
* Knowledge in Air Traffic Management (ATM)
* Good knowledge of TIBCO, REST/JSON, SOAP, XML is a plus
