I am currently looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer, who is a TFS Operations Specialist, to undertake a 12 month contract for a key Financial Client in Basel, Switzerland.
You will be responsible for planning and executing TFS maintenance tasks and system upgrades, provide end-user support, guide teams in various topic related to agile working methodologies and help development teams in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and preach best practises.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate our on-premise TFS platform.
- Manage our IDE development stack (Visual Studio, IntelliJ, Anaconda, Eclipse) and provide support to users.
- Support development teams in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Proactively approach the development teams, detect inefficiencies and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide guidance to teams in relation to agile project methodologies.
- Gather requirements from users and design solutions based on our TFS platform.
Key Skills:
- In depth knowledge in operating and extending Microsoft TFS (Azure DevOps Server).
- Git source control management and branching strategies.
- Windows and Linux server operating systems and Scripting skills.
- SQL and C#.NET development.
- Knowledge of modern software engineering principles such as continuous integration, continuous deployment, test-driven development and agile project methodologies.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
