For our client, a major Swiss Bank, we are looking for a "Senior Business Analyst - IT Infrastructure Change" for a 12 months contract in Zurich, Switzerland.

Overview of business area or project:

The global GCTO Change Business Analysis team is seeking an IT Business Analysis Professional with a strong IT Infrastructure background to join the team in Zurich. This contractor will have the opportunity to work on complex, multi-year IT Infrastructure programs across End User, Hosting and Security Technology, collaborating with project delivery teams and key stakeholders.

This role would be a member of the centrally managed BA pool. This role requires experienced IT infrastructure skills, Cloud technology and Cyber Security preferred. Business analysts from the application development world is acceptable as long as they have a sound grasp of IT infrastructure.

This Business Analyst role will work closely with Stream Lead, Product Manager and Engineering functions to deliver the technology, as well as with other teams across GCTO, including Service Management technology and Inventory technology teams.

This role needs to scope, deliver, and improve a mixture of large and medium scale global projects influencing the IT 3-year vision. It must balance the use of skills in strategic vision and grounding them in practicality, and Operational Efficiency to help improve products and services already in BAU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand the needs of department and the Cyber organization, collect requirements and perform requirements analysis for both new functions and supporting products
  • Acting as a liaison between the business stakeholders, architecture group and Threat Defense operation team
  • Understand the business need and create a clear problem statement and vision for change
  • Driving the identification of opportunities and the development and validation of project/program Business Cases and expected benefits. Seek approval for funding to execute against the defined business cases
  • Identifying, engaging and managing stakeholders; engineering and managing requirements across the portfolio; identifying dependencies and risks and driving integration of parallel activities across the program
  • Driving the requirements prioritization process and developing functional specifications, securing stakeholder agreement
  • Partner with engineering in the development of solutions that meet the requirements; documenting current and to be processes, technologies, workflows and data flows. Preparing gap analysis, use cases and implementation plans. Representing customer interests in the solutions process.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience within an IT organization (Financial Services preferred) and working in a global environment
  • Specific experience delivering the following project types a plus: part of a global project team to deliver operational capabilities to rapidly and effectively identify, detect and respond to cyber security events, vulnerabilities, and threats targeting the bank
  • Practical knowledge in applying information security standards (eg ISO 27001) and/or cyber security best practices (eg NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
  • Proven experience in analysing application infrastructure design, classification of apps in areas such as regulatory and non-functional (eg suitability analysis), and strong leadership in managing application stakeholders
  • Application onboarding/migrations to new infrastructure platforms
  • Organization analysis mapping process/activity flows, roles and responsibilities, etc.
  • Requirements and issues management leveraging tools such as JIRA and Odyssey
  • Senior stakeholder management; influencing and managing expectations, and selling the program
  • Infrastructure tools rationalization, decom, and replacement (RFPs/RFIs)
