One of our clients, a leading pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, is looking for an Application Manager for an 8-month contract located in Basel, Switzerland.
Job Summary
You will support the Clinical & Biomarker Informatics group in managing the system landscape of applications. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading small to medium sized improvement and/or decommissioning projects.
Your tasks & responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with scientists, internal informatics specialists and software vendors
- Create and define user requirements in collaboration with scientists
- Manage change requests for existing systems
- Provide support for global and local computerized system validation (CSV) activities
- Training and scientific process support to heterogeneous user community
- Leading small to medium sized improvement and/or decommissioning projects
- Manage customer relationship and interactions. Define with customers, priority, requirements and timelines
- Manage implementation with software developers, including documentation
What you must have
- At least MSc in Biology, Informatics or related field
- +5 years of experience in a similar role (Application Management)
- Capability to think strategically
- Excellent understanding of complex landscapes and relationships (business, systems, policies, etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Great customer focus skills and attention to details
- Proactive investigation of issues and functionalities
- Fluent in English
What is nice to have
- Proven experience in leading one or more high-level, complex technical projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost, to deliver specified requirements
- CSV background and experience in working with Informatics Quality
