DevOps Architect (Azure)
A DevOps Architect (Azure) is urgently required for a long-term, lucrative freelance assignment with a market leading client based in Zurich.
The DevOps Architect (Azure) will ideally have 70%+ of the following skills and experience:
- Excellent understanding in set-up, maintenance and evolution of CI Servers such as TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, Travis, Concourse and Azure DevOps
- Expert level understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Strong application development background ideally in one of the following languages (Java/.net/C++/Golang/Rust) and associated build tools
- Capability to design highly available, scalable and resilient systems
- Expert level understanding of observability designs, ideally running and operating monitoring infrastructure in production
- Strong knowledge of installing, maintaining and monitoring Java applications on Linux and/or Windows
- Very good understanding of Infrastructure as code patterns and practices and tooling to support them
- Deep understanding of virtualization and container technology and associated platforms (ie Docker, K8s, ), ideally running production workload
- Proficient skills debugging and performance tuning Linux/Windows based applications
- Expertise with Scripting languages such as Python/Shell/Powershell/
- Ability to partner with senior stakeholders both in the team and across the bank
- Fluent in English, German speakers are preferred
The DevOps Architect (Azure) will be responsible for activities including:
- Innovate strategic solutions within the DevOps space with a focus on Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Design and develop enterprise grade applications applying DevOps practices throughout
- Provide technical expertise for the community and collaborate with other engineering teams
- Act as a DevOps subject matter expert for the developer community and other stakeholders
