Accountant (m/f)

Main tasks:
  • Processing of 3rd party invoices in JDE/Basware, ensuring highest level of quality and accuracy within the agreed SLA time applying the matching checks and ensuring the right approval level has been provided
  • Apply RTV (return to vendor) process where required
  • Follow-up on return queue
  • Clearing of unallocated cash and direct debit deduction
  • Perform month-end activities related to the Order- to -Pay process
  • Process NFCM controls and ensure SOX compliance of daily operations
  • Track month-end closing check-list and make sure to respect deadlines
  • Act as a backup of the Treasury associate
  • Reporting: DPO, input to KPI reporting and other if required
  • Support of any related project or initiative
  • Contact suppliers and/or stakeholders when needed to resolve issues on invoices/credit notes
  • Ensure that all requests from markets and stakeholders in generic mailbox have been handled within time agreed in SLA


Main qualifications
  • Degree in finance and/or accounting or relevant experience
  • Experience: account payable department (preferably shared services)
  • Languages: Fluent English; excellent command of at least one written/verbal business languages spoken in the markets of his/her responsibility: French, Spanish or Dutch
  • Ability to organize and manage high workload
  • Strong analytical skills, showing good problem identification and resolution skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, customer and result orientation
  • Able to work without direct supervision, team player
  • Fast learner for IT applications and processes
